Universal connection cable with multiple approvals

This single-core H05V2-K 1.0/AWG18 cable with a voltage rating of 300/500V is a versatile solution for internal wiring and connections. Its construction and approvals make it particularly useful in export applications, as well as in machine tools and distribution boards. The cable boasts compliance with five standards: HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM, and CSA-Equipment-wire, simplifying inventory management and bill of materials.

Construction and properties

The cable is made of a stranded copper conductor, class 5, ensuring flexibility and reliable connections. The TI3 type PVC insulation guarantees good mechanical and electrical resistance. The materials used in production are silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance-free. The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter – for cables up to 8 mm it is 4xØ cable, above 8 mm to 12 mm – 5xØ cable, and above 12 mm – 6xØ cable. The cable has passed flame propagation tests according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1-2/UL VW-1 and CSA FT1 standards.

Scope of application and operating parameters

This cable is ideal for applications requiring flexibility and resistance to environmental conditions. The operating temperature range is from +5°C to +90°C for flexible operation and from -40°C to +90°C for stationary operation. UL (AWM) approvals allow operation at voltages up to 1000 V (AC) or 1250 V (DC), while UL (MTW) allows up to 600 V, and CSA (TEW) also up to 600 V. The test voltage is 2000 V, and for cables with a cross-section ≥ 0.75 mm² – as much as 6 kV. It should be noted that cross-sections above 35 mm² are made of heat-resistant PVC type TI3. Cross-sections up to 35mm² meet the DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31 standard.
