Universal connection cable for wide applications

This single-core PVC cable, designated as H05V2-K 1/AWG18, is a versatile solution for internal wiring. Meets stringent standards – five in one

A key feature of this cable is its compliance with no less than five standards: DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31, DIN EN 50525-2-31, UL-Std.1063, UL-Style 10269 (also Style 1015) and CSA-TEW and CSA-AWM I A/B. This means it meets the stringent requirements for safety and quality, both in Europe and North America. This allows a single type of cable to be used in different applications and geographical regions, simplifying inventory management and reducing costs. Additional approvals HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM and CSA-Equipment-wire allow for wide use in various industries.

Construction and parameters ensuring durability

The cable is constructed with a stranded copper conductor class 5 (DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228/UL Std. 758), providing flexibility and resistance to bending. The insulation is made of special PVC type TI3 (DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3 and UL-Std. 1581 class 43 / CSA C 22.2 No. 210 Tab. 12 class H), guaranteeing good electrical insulation and resistance to external factors. The cable is designed to operate at temperatures from +5°C to +90°C (flexible) or from -40°C to +90°C (stationary), and in the case of UL approvals (AWM) even up to +105°C and UL (MTW) up to +90°C and CSA (TEW) up to +105°C, making it suitable for use in harsh environmental conditions. The operating voltage is 300/500V (up to 1 mm²) and the test voltage reaches up to 2kV – for cross-sections ≥ 0.75 mm² up to 6kV! The minimum bending radius has been adapted to the cable diameter to ensure easy installation and avoid damage to the conductors during installation. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that hinder painting – which is important for subsequent maintenance or modification of the installation.
