Universal connection cable for a wide range of applications

This white-blue single-core PVC cable, with a cross-section of 1 mm² (AWG 18), is designed for demanding applications. It meets no less than five standards – DIN VDE, DIN EN, UL and CSA – making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end-users looking for a reliable solution. Its versatility is reflected in its ability to be used in machine tools, internal wiring of distribution boards and electrical devices.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a flexible, stranded wire of class 5, ensuring easy installation and adaptation to different configurations. The polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation guarantees good mechanical and chemical resistance. The rated voltage U0/U is 600 V / 500 V, allowing for safe use in installations with different voltages. The approximate outer diameter is 3 mm.

This cable also features a wide range of operating temperatures: flexible from +5°C to +90°C and stationary from -40°C to +90°C. For applications compliant with UL standards (AWM), the permissible operating temperature reaches up to +105°C, UL (MTW) +90°C and CSA (TEW) +105°C. This allows it to be used in harsh environmental conditions. In addition, the cable has passed tests for vertical flame propagation resistance in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1-2/UL VW-1 and CSA FT1 standards.

Applications and compliance with standards

This cable is an economical solution for installers thanks to the possibility of simplifying the parts list thanks to numerous approvals: HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM and CSA-Equipment-wire. This is particularly important for export projects and in industries requiring compliance with many safety standards. Compliance with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31/DIN EN 50525-2-31/UL-Std.1063/UL-Style 10269 (as well as Style 1015) and CSA-TEW and CSA-AWM I A/B guarantees its high quality and reliability. The cable complies with the LVD Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The minimum bending radius for fixed laying depends on the cable diameter – for cables with a diameter below 8 mm it is 4x cable diameter, above 8 mm – 5x or 6x cable diameter respectively.
