Single-core PVC wire acc. to UL/CSA FIVENORM H05V2-K 1/AWG18 yellow-red 11019403
Universal connection cable for many applications
This single-core PVC cable, designated as H05V2-K 1/AWG18, is a versatile solution for internal wiring. It is suitable for both export installations and demanding industrial applications such as machine tools and distribution boards. Its construction and approvals allow for economical inventory management and simplified specifications.
Meets stringent standards – five in one
The cable stands out for its compliance with five standards: DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31, DIN EN 50525-2-31, UL-Std.1063, UL-Style 10269 (and Style 1015) and CSA-TEW and CSA-AWM I A/B. This guarantees safety and reliability in various working environments. This means that one cable can be used in projects requiring compliance with different quality standards.
Flexibility and operating temperature range
The cable remains flexible over a wide temperature range – from +5°C to +90°C for stationary operation and from -40°C to +90°C for dynamic operation. In the case of UL (AWM) and CSA (TEW) approvals, the operating temperature range is even wider – up to +105°C. This allows it to be used in a variety of environmental conditions. The multi-strand copper conductor, class 5, provides good flexibility and facilitates assembly. The TI3 type PVC insulation ensures durability and resistance to mechanical damage. The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter – for cables up to 8 mm diameter it is 4xØ cable, above 8 mm – 5x or 6xØ cable respectively.
Safety confirmed by tests
The cable has passed tests for vertical flame propagation according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1-2, UL VW-1 and CSA FT1 standards. The materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that hinder painting, which is important for many industrial applications. The test voltage for cables with a cross-section of up to 0.5 mm² is 5 kV, and for ≥ 0.75 mm² – 6 kV.
