This flexible single-core cable with PVC insulation, manufactured by HELUKABEL, is a versatile solution for internal wiring. Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a multi-strand, flexible conductor class 5, which provides high flexibility and facilitates installation even in tight spaces. The polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation guarantees good resistance to abrasion, chemicals and weather conditions. The cable is available in red, which makes it easier to identify in installations. The nominal conductor cross-section of 1.5 mm² corresponds to AWG size 16. The approximate outer diameter is 3.25 mm.
This cable stands out due to its compliance with five standards: DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31, DIN EN 50525-2-31, UL-Std.1063/UL-Style 10269 (also Style 1015), CSA-TEW and CSA-AWM I A/B. This ensures that it meets stringent safety and quality requirements, and the HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM and CSA approvals allow for its wide application – also in demanding industries such as metalworking (cables are often used in machine tools). The use of cadmium-free, silicone-free and paint-compatible materials ensures compatibility with various working environments.
Operating parameters and safety
The cable is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 450/750 V. It can be operated at a temperature of -40°C to +90°C (flexible installation) or -40°C to +90°C (fixed installation). The minimum bending radius is 4xØ (four times the outer diameter of the cable), allowing it to be easily routed in tight spaces without the risk of damaging the conductor. The test voltage is 2.5 kV.
