Single-core PVC UL/CSA wire – reliability and versatility of applications

This single-core wire with PVC insulation, approved by UL Style 1007 and CSA-AWM, is an ideal solution for internal wiring of various devices and installations. It is characterized by flexibility and resistance to external factors, making it a reliable element in many applications. This wire is particularly recommended for use in control cabinets, household electrical appliances, and in machines and transformers.

Construction and properties

The wire is made of stranded copper core, coated with tin to ensure better conductivity and corrosion resistance. PVC insulation guarantees high resistance to abrasion, moisture, and the action of oils, solvents, acids and bases. This ensures that the wire retains its properties in harsh working conditions. In addition, the materials used in production are silicone and cadmium-free, which affects its safety of use. The wire meets UL VW-1 and CSA FT1 standards in terms of fire resistance.

Applications and technical parameters

The wire is used both in internal wiring of electrical and control devices (e.g. building assemblies), and as a connecting element in machines and transformers. Its flexibility allows for easy routing in insulated pipes, also flexible ones. Thanks to the rated voltage of 300 V and the operating temperature up to +80°C (flexible) or +90°C (CSA-AWM I A/B or TR 64), the wire ensures safe and efficient operation of the installation. The core cross-section is 0.82 mm², and the outer diameter is approximately 2.3 mm. The wire is available in purple color, which facilitates the identification of individual cores in the installation.
