Single-core PVC UL/CSA wire – reliability and versatility of applications

This yellow single-core wire with PVC insulation, approved by UL Style 1007 and CSA, is an ideal solution for internal wiring of various devices and installations. It is characterized by flexibility and resistance to external factors, making it reliable in many applications. This wire is particularly recommended for use in control cabinets, household appliances, audio-video equipment, as well as machines and transformers.

Construction and properties

The wire is made of stranded copper core, tinned – which ensures excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The insulation made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) guarantees safe use and good resistance to mechanical damage. It meets the requirements of UL (Underwriters Laboratories Inc.) and CSA (Canadian Standards Association) standards, which confirms its high quality and safety. The wire is flame retardant, according to UL VW-1 and CSA FT1 standards, which further increases the safety level of the installation.

Designed to operate at temperatures from -5°C to +80°C (flexible installation) or from -30°C to +80°C (fixed installation), and in some cases even up to +90°C (CSA-AWM I A/B), it offers a wide range of applications. The rated voltage is 300V, and the test voltage is 2000V, ensuring safe operation in typical electrical installations. The outer diameter of the wire is approximately 1.8 mm with a core cross-section of 0.33 mm², which corresponds to AWG22. The flexibility of the wire allows for easy installation even in tight spaces, and the minimum bending radius is 5x the outer diameter for fixed installations and 10x for flexible installations.

Additionally, the materials used in production are cadmium and silicone-free and do not contain substances harmful to varnishes – which demonstrates care for the natural environment and high product quality.
