Rubber cable NSHXAFÖ – reliability and safety in demanding installations
This single-core rubber cable, designated NSHXAFÖ 1x16 mm², is a specialized solution designed for applications where resistance to short-circuit loads and ensuring continuous power supply are crucial. Manufactured in accordance with DIN VDE 0250 part 606, this cable is distinguished by its exceptional durability and safety. It is an ideal choice for both professional installers and end customers looking for a reliable solution.
Construction and properties
The NSHXAFÖ cable is characterized by a solid construction designed for extreme working conditions. The copper core, stranded according to DIN VDE 0295 class 5, BS 6360 class 5 and IEC 60228 class 5, provides excellent conductivity. The inner insulation made of 3GI3 EPR guarantees high electrical and mechanical resistance. The whole is surrounded by a halogen-free outer jacket made of HM3 polymer, which increases safety in the event of a fire – minimizing the emission of toxic gases and smoke (according to IEC 60332-1-2).
This cable is designed to operate in a temperature range from -25°C to +90°C (flexibly -40°C to +90°C), making it a versatile solution for various applications. The operating voltage is 1.8/3kV, and the maximum permissible operating voltage for alternating current is U0/U 2.1/3.6 kV, and for direct current U0/U 2.7/5.4 kV. The cable is tested with 6 kV. The minimum bending radius is 6x cable diameter for stationary installation and 10x cable diameter for flexible installation.
Applications and benefits
The NSHXAFÖ cable is primarily used in busbar systems and in power and connection systems. Its exceptional resistance to short-circuit loads and grounding makes it ideal for places exposed to intense electrical interference. The possibility of installation in a dry environment further expands the scope of its applications.
- High short-circuit resistance: Ensures safe and reliable operation of the installation even in the event of a short circuit.
- Halogen-free: Increases fire safety by minimizing the emission of toxic gases during combustion.
- Wide temperature range: Enables the use of the cable in various environmental conditions.
- Flexibility: Facilitates installation and routing of cables in tight spaces.
- Compliance with standards: Guarantees high quality and safety of use (DIN VDE 0250 part 606).
- Oil resistance: The cable is resistant to oil (according to DIN VDE 0473-811-404).
