This specialized PVC cable, designated TOPFLEX®-EMV-3-PLUS-2YSLCY-J, is designed for demanding applications related to powering motors and frequency converters. This cable combines flexibility, durability and effective protection against electromagnetic interference, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end users. Its construction ensures safe and efficient energy transmission in a variety of industrial and commercial environments.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction, adapted to work in difficult conditions. Made of copper, it has core insulation made of polyethylene (PE), which ensures good flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. A key element is the double shielding – aluminum tape and a braid of copper wires – which minimizes the impact of electromagnetic interference on the operation of connected devices. The cores are twisted in concentric layers, and the PE protective core is divided into three cores arranged symmetrically, which further improves electromagnetic compatibility. The screen braid covers approximately 85% of the surface, ensuring high shielding efficiency. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer PVC coating in a transparent color.
This cable meets the DIN VDE 0250 standard, which guarantees its safety and compliance with applicable standards. It is designed to operate in a temperature range from -40°C to +70°C (during installation) and from +5°C to +70°C during operation. The rated voltage U/U0 is 1000/600 V, and the permissible ambient temperature during operation is -40…70 °C. The cable has a cross-section of 3x4+3G0.75 mm² and an outer diameter of approximately 12.3 mm.
