Flexible halogen-free cable for industrial and installation applications

This flexible control cable JZ-500 HMH 5G1, with a cross-section of 1 mm², is designed for the safe and reliable transmission of energy in various industrial and installation environments. Made of high-quality materials, it meets stringent safety standards and ensures long-term operation. The cable is characterized by high resistance to fire and chemicals, making it an ideal choice for applications requiring special caution.

Construction and properties

The JZ-500 HMH 5G1 cable is constructed in accordance with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/ DIN EN 50525-2-51 and DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11/ DIN EN 50525-3-11. It consists of five stranded copper conductors (class 5 according to VDE 0295, BS 6360, IEC 60228), insulated with a halogen-free TI6 compound. The conductors are black with white number printing for easy identification. Additionally, the cable is equipped with a yellow-green protective conductor (from 3 conductors) placed in the outer layer. The whole is surrounded by a halogen-free outer sheath made of TM7 compound in gray color (RAL 7001).

• Halogen-free: Materials used in production do not contain halogen, minimizing the emission of toxic gases in case of fire – crucial for the safety of people and equipment.
• Flame retardancy: The cable has passed tests confirming its fire resistance in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-3-24, BS 4066 part 3, DIN EN 60332-3-24 and IEC 60332-3-24.
• Flexibility: The stranded conductor construction provides high cable flexibility, making installation and routing in tight spaces easier.
• Chemical resistance: The halogen-free outer coating provides resistance to oils, greases and other chemicals.
• Wide temperature range: The cable retains its properties in the temperature range from -40°C to +70°C (fixed installation) and from -15°C to +70°C (flexible installation).

Please note that the cable is not intended for applications with frequent movements or mechanical stresses. It is ideal for fixed or occasionally movable installations with medium mechanical load. It meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
