3-way bypass thermostatic valves are used in single-pipe and two-pipe central heating systems with forced circulation. Thermostatic inserts are available for single-pipe pumping systems, in case of modernization. When almost all valves are closed at the same time, additional pressure is built up in the central heating system. If the three-way radiator valve closes the supply flow, the entire flow flows back through the bypass. In this way, additional pressures are avoided and the pressure is kept almost constant.
