Detuning reactors – improving energy efficiency
The single-phase detuning reactor INK 1-2.0-230V is an element used to compensate for capacitive reactive power in electrical installations. Its use allows for increased energy efficiency and reduced costs associated with reactive power consumption. These types of reactors are used in cable networks, especially when they are insufficiently loaded, as well as in combination with reactive power compensation devices.
Application and functionality
The INK 1-2.0-230V reactor is designed to work in reactive power compensation systems where there is an excess of capacitive reactive energy generated by synchronous machines or long cable lines. This compensation allows for reducing the load on the network, improving the power factor and reducing energy losses. This device is particularly useful where standard compensation methods are insufficient or ineffective.
Construction and parameters
The reactor is manufactured in accordance with the PN-EN 60076-6 standard, which guarantees its high quality and reliability. The reactor core is made of a material with high magnetic permeability, and the winding is made of copper wire. The whole is protected by a thermally operated bimetallic circuit breaker, which protects against overload. The IP00 degree of protection indicates that the device is intended for indoor installation. Insulation class F ensures resistance to high temperatures.
Installation and operation
The reactor is mounted using angle brackets or, in selected types, on a rail. It is important to ensure adequate electrical insulation from the ground. The device operates in continuous mode and is naturally cooled (AN). Versions for use in harsh environmental conditions (marine and mining) are also available. The weight of the reactor is 12 kg, and its dimensions are 150 x 138 x 145 mm (length x width x height).
