The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 8.8 mm, and its weight is about 141.5 kg per kilometer. The minimum bending radius during permanent installation is 105.6 mm. The cable has short-circuit protection thanks to the presence of a protective conductor. The resistance of the conductor at 20°C is 12.1 Ohm/km.

The YDY cable meets the requirements of EN 13501-6 standard in class Eca in terms of reaction to fire. It is also resistant to low temperatures according to EN 60811-504+505+506. The cable has a certificate of conformity with HD 308 S2, which confirms the correct identification of conductors by means of colors. Additionally, it is flame retardant according to IEC 60332-1-2.
