Flat installation cable for professional electrical applications

The presented YDYP 5x1.5 flat-design cable is a professional solution for electrical installations in residential and industrial buildings. The five-core construction with Class 1 single-wire copper conductors ensures reliable power transmission at a rated voltage of 750V.

High-quality construction and materials

The cable utilizes single-wire copper cores with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² each, guaranteeing optimal electrical conductivity with a resistance of 12.1 Ω/km at 20°C. The insulation and sheath made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) provide durable mechanical and chemical protection.

The flat geometry of the cable, with dimensions of approximately 16.7 × 2.76 mm, allows for economical installation while maintaining a minimum bending radius of 16.56 mm. The white outer surface facilitates identification and aesthetic installation.

Operating parameters and operational safety

The device operates in a wide temperature range from -30°C to +50°C after installation (during laying: from -15°C to +50°C), with a maximum allowable conductor temperature of +70°C. In the event of a short circuit, the cable withstands short-term temperature increases up to +160°C.

The cable meets the requirements of the IEC 60332-1-2 standard regarding flame retardancy and has a fire reaction class of Eca according to EN 13501-6. The construction is resistant to low temperatures in accordance with EN 60811-504+505+506.

Application and installation compatibility

The cable is intended for installation in plaster and under-plaster in dry and damp rooms. It can be used in electrical conduits and concrete, providing long-term protection against environmental conditions.

The five cores include: blue, brown, black, grey, and an additional black core or optionally a yellow-green core serving as a protective conductor. Core identification is compliant with the HD 308 S2 standard and PN-E-90068 standards.

A weight of 157.69 kg/km combined with a compact design makes this cable a practical solution for demanding installation applications in residential and commercial construction.
