K2-Kan Drainage Pipes – Strength and Lightweight in One

K2-Kan external drainage pipe is a two-layer solution made of polypropylene (PP), designed for the construction of gravity drainage networks and rainwater drainage systems. It is characterized by high ring stiffness SN12, which ensures durability and resistance to loads, even under roads with high traffic volume (SLW 60). The pipe design with a socket and gasket guarantees leak-proof connections.

K2-Kan pipes are significantly lighter compared to traditional materials – they are 2-3 times lighter than solid-wall plastic pipes and as much as 15-20 times lighter than stoneware or concrete pipes. This facilitates transport, storage and installation, reducing labor costs. Despite its light weight, the pipe maintains high stability and resistance to mechanical damage.

Construction and application

The pipe with an outer diameter of 150 mm and a length of 3000 mm has a socket at one end and a gasket in the last groove of the other end, which simplifies and speeds up the process of connecting system elements. Thanks to the corrugated structure of the outer wall, the pipe effectively distributes point loads, minimizing the risk of deformation. It can be used in systems operating under pressure up to 2.5 bar without negatively affecting its durability.

The K2-Kan system complies with the PN-EN 13476-3 standard and has a technical opinion from GIG Katowice dated June 30, 2008, which confirms its safety and reliability. The orange color makes it easier to identify the pipe during installation work and subsequent operation.
