Robust connection in steel installations – GW Steel nipple connector
The GW Steel nipple connector is a reliable solution for creating durable and tight connections in installation systems made of steel. Designed for pressing, it ensures quick and secure installation without the need for welding or threading. It is ideal for heating, cooling, compressed air, solar and industrial installations.
Construction and materials
Made of high-quality carbon steel RSt 34-2 (1.0034 according to DIN EN 10305-3), the connector is coated with a layer of zinc, which provides effective anti-corrosion protection. This translates to a long service life and resistance to external factors. The internal BSPT-Rc thread (ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1) with a diameter of 3/4 inch (20) guarantees compatibility with a wide range of installation elements. The crimp end allows for easy and quick connection to KAN-therm Steel system pipes.
Safety and quality control
The connector is equipped with an O-ring seal and a Leak Before Press (LBP) controlled leakage function. This means that an unpressed connection is leak-proof and easily detectable during a pressure test – this is an important convenience for installers, allowing them to avoid errors and ensure the complete tightness of the installation. Two types of O-rings are available: EPDM (factory mounted) and FPM/Viton (for replacement on your own), allowing you to adapt the connector to different media and system operating parameters.
Advantages for professionals and end users
- Quick installation: Pressing technology eliminates time-consuming welding and threading processes, reducing investment completion time.
- High tightness: O-ring sealing and LBP function guarantee reliable connections without the risk of leaks.
- Durability and corrosion resistance: Carbon steel with a zinc coating ensures longevity and resistance to external factors, minimizing operating costs.
- Versatility: The connector finds application in various installation systems – from heating to industrial.
- Easy quality control: The LBP function facilitates the identification of unpressed connections during leak tests.
- Minimal pressure loss: “Press” technology ensures a minimized narrowing of the pipe cross-section, which translates to better hydraulic performance of the system.
