Design and application

The GW Steel fitting with a diameter of 3/4 inch (20 mm) has a tapered BSPT-Rc (ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1) internal gas thread and a clamping sleeve for connection to the pipe. Designed for pressing, it provides quick and secure installation without the need for welding or soldering. The steel construction, combined with galvanizing, makes it resistant to corrosion and mechanical damage. This is crucial in installations exposed to harsh environmental conditions.

Functionality and safety – distinguishing features

• Durability and resistance: Made of carbon steel (RSt 34-2) according to PNEN 10305-3, with an external zinc layer (8-15 µm) for corrosion protection.
• Tightness: Equipped with an EPDM O-ring (compliant with PN-EN 681-1), guaranteeing a reliable seal. Viton O-rings are also available for special applications.
• Quick installation: Press technology significantly speeds up the installation process, eliminating the need for welding or soldering.
• LBP leak detection: Leak Before Press (LBP) function facilitates the detection of unpressed connections during pressure tests – particularly important for diameters up to 54 mm, where specially grooved O-rings are used.
• Versatility: Suitable for heating and cooling installations inside buildings, operating at pressures up to 16 bar and temperatures from -35°C to +135°C.
• Three-point clamping system “M”: Provides even pressure on the O-ring, guaranteeing its correct deformation and connection tightness.
