Stainless steel reduction coupling – a reliable connection in the KAN-therm system
This Inox reduction coupling, made of austenitic stainless steel 1.4404 (316L), is a key element in the KAN-therm system, designed to create durable and safe connections. The use of high-quality materials guarantees corrosion resistance and long-term reliability, especially in demanding installation conditions.
Design and application
The reduction coupling is used to change the pipe diameter in the installation, allowing connection of pipes with outer diameters of 18 mm and 54 mm (corresponding to DN 15 and DN 50). Its simple construction and the use of a crimp sleeve and push-fit end make installation quick and precise. The length of the reduction coupling is 98 mm, and its working dimensions (connections 1 and 2) have been precisely selected for optimal crimping. A seal made of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM) rubber ensures a leak-proof connection.
LBP controlled leak function – additional safety
The fitting is equipped with the LBP (Leak Before Press) controlled leak function, which allows detection of incorrectly crimped connections even before the installation is put into use. This is an important safeguard against potential failures and costly repairs. Thanks to this, the installer is sure that each connection is properly made, and the end user can enjoy a safe and reliable installation.
Worth knowing: The use of 316L stainless steel provides exceptional corrosion resistance, which is particularly important in installations exposed to aggressive chemicals or harsh weather conditions.
