45° Steel elbow - 108 1509068004
Steel elbow for pressure installations
This is a 45° elbow made of steel, designed for creating connections in central heating, chilled water, process heat and industrial installations. It is an element of the KAN-therm Steel system, characterized by high durability and corrosion resistance thanks to the galvanized steel layer (Fe/Zn88) with a thickness of 8-15 µm. The elbow is designed for press connections, ensuring quick and reliable installation.
Construction and application
The elbow has a bend angle of 45° and a nominal diameter of DN 100 (outer pipe diameter 108 mm). It is made of carbon steel RSt 34-2 (material number 1.0034 according to DIN EN 10305-3). The use of clamping sleeves (connection 1 and 2) allows for easy and tight connection with KAN-therm Steel steel pipes. The length of the elbow is 284.83 mm, and the bend radius is 130 mm. An O-ring seal further increases the connection reliability.
LBP – Leakage Before Press function
A key feature of this elbow is the LBP (Leak Before Press) function, which indicates unpressed connections. This means that in the event of incorrect pressing, a leak will appear even before the installation is put into use, allowing for quick identification and repair of the problem. This is important for the safety and reliability of the entire installation.
Advantages for installers and users
- Fast installation: Pressing technology eliminates the need for welding or threading, reducing installation time.
- Safety: The LBP function minimizes the risk of leaks and failures.
- Durability: Galvanized steel provides corrosion resistance and long installation life.
- Wide range of applications: Possibility of use in various types of installations – from central heating to industrial systems.
- Resistance to pressure and temperature: The KAN-therm Steel system withstands pressure up to 25 bar and temperature up to 200°C.
- Low hydraulic resistance: Ensures efficient flow of medium in the installation.
- Compatibility: Possibility of connection with KAN-therm plastic systems.
- Mechanical strength: Protects the installation from mechanical damage, especially in areas exposed to vandalism.
