Elbow 45° Steel - 76.1 1509068014
Steel elbow for KAN-therm Steel systems
This is a 45° elbow made of steel, designed for creating installations in the KAN-therm Steel system. It provides a reliable and durable connection for pipes with a diameter of 76.1 mm, ideal for both professional installers and end-users. The fitting is designed for pressing, which significantly speeds up installation and eliminates the need for welding or threading.
Construction and application
The elbow is made of carbon steel RSt 34-2 (1.0034 according to DIN EN 10305-3), coated with a layer of zinc (Fe/Zn88) with a thickness of 8-15 µm, which provides effective corrosion protection. Its bend angle is 45°, and the radius is 92 mm. Thanks to the use of clamping sleeves with a nominal diameter of DN 65, the elbow is compatible with other elements of the KAN-therm Steel system. The length of the fitting is 206.32 mm, and the connection length is 101.3 mm each, with a working length of 46.3 mm for each connection.
LBP function and installation safety
A key feature of this elbow is the controlled leakage function LBP (Leak Before Press). This means that an unpressed connection is signaled by a leak, allowing for easy detection of errors during installation and preventing potential failures in the future. The KAN-therm Steel system allows operation at pressures up to 25 bar and temperatures up to 200°C (when using appropriate HP crimping tools). The use of pressing technology eliminates the risk associated with open flame during installation, which is particularly important in multi-family buildings during the replacement of old heating installations.
