This KAN-therm Steel reducing tee, with dimensions 22/18/22 mm, is a reliable solution for connecting pipes of different diameters in heating and water systems. Made of galvanized steel, it ensures durability and corrosion resistance, and the “Press” crimping technology guarantees quick and secure installation without the need for welding or threading.

Construction and application

The tee is designed for internal, closed pressure installations – central heating, chilled water, technological heat, solar and industrial systems. Its construction allows for changing the flow direction of the medium and reducing the pipe diameter from 22 mm to 18 mm and back to 22 mm. The use of clamping sleeves ensures a tight and durable connection.

LBP function and installation safety

A key feature of this tee is the LBP (Leak Before Press) function – signaling un-crimped connections. This means that in the event of incorrect crimping, a leak of the medium will be immediately noticed, which helps to avoid more serious problems in the installation. The maximum working pressure of the tee is 16 bar at a temperature of 20°C. The seal made of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EDPM) rubber further increases its reliability.
