Steel reducing tee 42/22/42 1509260026
Steel reducing tee for KAN-therm Steel systems
This reducing tee, made of galvanized steel, is a key element of the KAN-therm Steel system, designed to create durable and safe heating and cooling installations. It allows for changing the pipe diameter in the installation – in this case, reducing from 42 mm to 22 mm, and then returning to 42 mm. This fitting is designed for press connections, ensuring quick and reliable installation without the need for welding or screwing.
Construction and application
The tee is made of carbon steel RSt 34-2 (1.0034 according to DIN EN 10305-3), coated with a layer of zinc (Fe/Zn88) with a thickness of 8-15 µm, which provides effective corrosion protection. Its construction is based on a 90-degree angle, allowing for flexible routing of the installation. The use of a reducing tee allows you to adapt the pipe diameter to the specific needs of the installation, e.g. when connecting devices with different connection diameters. Thanks to the pressing technology, the connections are tight and durable.
Safety and functionality
The fitting is equipped with an LBP (Leak Before Press) function, which indicates unpressed connections. This is an important solution that allows for easy detection of errors during installation and prevents potential leaks. In addition, the O-ring seal ensures reliable connection even at high temperatures and pressures. The KAN-therm Steel system is characterized by resistance to high pressure (up to 16 bar, possibility of operation up to 25 bar with appropriate tools) and a wide range of operating temperatures from -35°C to 135°C. Installation is carried out without the use of open flame, which increases safety, especially during the replacement of old installations in multi-family buildings.
