PENTAL ultraPRESS pipe with a diameter of 20x2.0 mm, supplied in a coil of 100 meters, is a versatile solution for water supply and heating installations. Made of polyethylene with increased thermal resistance (PE-RT) with an aluminum reinforcing layer, it ensures reliable and durable connections. This construction combines the advantages of plastic flexibility with metal strength, allowing for easy installation and resistance to high pressure and temperatures.

Construction and properties

The pipe consists of three layers: inner and outer layers made of PE-RT and a middle layer of aluminum welded end-to-end. This combination of materials provides high resistance to corrosion, oxygen diffusion and hydraulic shocks. This makes the pipe ideal for drinking water installations, central heating, underfloor heating and cooling systems. The aluminum layer acts as an anti-diffusion barrier, preventing oxygen from penetrating the installation, which is particularly important in heating systems.

The PENTAL ultraPRESS pipe is characterized by high operating parameters: the maximum working pressure is 10 bar at a temperature of 20°C, and the maximum continuous operating temperature is 80°C (short-term up to 95°C). Low thermal expansion of the pipe minimizes the risk of stresses in connections caused by temperature changes. In addition, the smooth inner surface reduces flow resistance and makes it easier to keep the installation clean.

Application and installation

The PENTAL ultraPRESS pipe is compatible with crimp fittings of the KAN-therm Press system as well as screw and threaded connections for multilayer pipes. Installation is carried out using crimping technology, which guarantees tight and durable connections. This makes the installation quick, easy and does not require specialized tools other than the crimping tool and calibrator (for diameters above 25mm). The pipe retains its shape during laying, which facilitates installation work even in difficult conditions.
