Multilayer pipe for comprehensive installations

Pertal ultraPRESS pipe is a reliable solution for building water and heating installations in residential and industrial construction. Made of polyethylene with increased thermal resistance, reinforced with a longitudinally welded aluminum layer, it ensures durability and safety of use. Thanks to its universal application, it will be suitable for both cold and hot water installations, as well as underfloor heating or radiator heating.

Construction and properties

The three-layer structure of the pipe – a combination of polyethylene (PE), aluminum (Al) and again polyethylene (PE) – guarantees high mechanical strength and resistance to corrosion. The aluminum layer acts as an oxygen barrier, preventing oxygen diffusion into the installation and protecting metal elements from corrosion. The pipe is characterized by high flexibility, which facilitates assembly and allows for routing the installation in complex systems. The coefficient of thermal expansion α is 0.023-0.025 mm/mxK, and the thermal conductivity λ is 0.43 W/mxK – parameters important in the design of heating systems.

Pertal ultraPRESS pipe is available in white color, in lengths of 5 meters and an outer diameter of 63 mm with a wall thickness of 4.5 mm. The maximum working pressure of the pipe is 10 bar at a temperature of 20°C. The minimum bending radius is 3.5 times the outer diameter (OD) when using profiling tools or 5 OD without them. The roughness of the inner wall is only 0.007 mm, which minimizes flow resistance and ensures energy efficiency of the installation. To confirm the quality of the pipe, the manufacturer offers a warranty of up to 10 years (even 15 years in individual construction).
