PPR stabiGLASS SDR6 PN20 pipe - 25x4.2, 4m length 1229205026
Polypropylene pipe for water and heating installations
PPR stabiGLASS SDR6 PN20 pipe is a reliable solution for building water installations – both hot and cold domestic water, as well as central heating. Made of random polypropylene (PP), stabilized with fiberglass, it combines durability, ease of installation and good resistance to working conditions. Thanks to fiberglass stabilization, the pipe is characterized by limited thermal expansion, which minimizes the risk of stress in the installation.
The pipe with a diameter of 25 mm and a wall thickness of 4.2 mm, supplied in lengths of 4 meters, is intended for butt fusion welding. This ensures tight and durable connections, creating a monolithic installation structure. It withstands working pressure up to 20 bar (depending on the medium temperature – 20 bar for cold water, 10 bar for hot water and 6 bar for central heating). The white color of the pipe makes it easier to identify in the installation.
Construction features and application
stabiGLASS SDR6 PN20 pipes stand out from traditional PP-R pipes thanks to the use of fiberglass. This solution eliminates the need to remove the aluminum foil layer before welding – which greatly simplifies and speeds up installation. Fiberglass also reduces the thermal elongation of the pipe, which is particularly important in central heating installations, where there are significant temperature fluctuations.
These pipes are ideal for both new installations and modernization of existing heating and water systems. They can be used in residential and commercial construction, as well as in industrial facilities. They are compatible with other elements of the KAN-therm PP system, allowing for the creation of comprehensive installation solutions.
Advantages and benefits
- Durability and reliability: Polypropylene is a material resistant to corrosion and most chemicals present in water and heating medium.
- Easy installation: Butt fusion welding ensures tight connections without the need for additional sealants or tools. The lack of the need to remove aluminum foil further speeds up the work.
- Limited thermal expansion: Fiberglass minimizes the expansion and contraction of the pipe under the influence of temperature, reducing the risk of stress and damage to the installation.
- Versatility: Can be used in cold water, hot water and central heating installations.
- Long lifespan: Manufacturer's warranty – 10 years (in residential construction even 15 years) testifies to the high quality of the product.
- Certificates: It has CSTB, ITB, Lloyds and PZH certificates, confirming compliance with applicable safety and quality standards (PN‑EN 15874).
- Low internal wall roughness: Ensures smooth flow of the medium and minimizes pressure losses in the installation (roughness k = 0.007mm).
- Linear thermal expansion coefficient α: is 0.03 mm/mxK and thermal conductivity λ - 0.24 W/mxK - parameters important when designing installations taking into account thermal expansion compensation.
