PPR stabiGLASS SDR6 PN20 pipe - 50x8.3 mm 4 m length 1229205014
Polypropylene pipe for water supply and heating installations
The stabiGLASS SDR6 PN20 PPR pipe is an element of the KAN-therm PP system, designed for the construction of internal water supply installations for hot and cold water, as well as central heating and chilled water systems. Made of random polypropylene (PP-R) stabilized with glass fiber, it provides high strength and durability of connections. Its construction allows for polyfusion welding, creating homogeneous and tight connections.
The pipe with a diameter of 50 mm and a wall thickness of 8.3 mm, supplied in lengths of 4 meters, is ideal for both professional installers and end customers implementing their own projects. Glass fiber stabilization minimizes linear expansion of the pipe, which is particularly important in surface installations and underfloor heating systems. This eliminates the need to use scrapers to remove the protective layer before welding – which significantly speeds up installation.
Features and application
The stabiGLASS pipe is characterized by high chemical and mechanical resistance, which guarantees the longevity of the installation. Thanks to its microbiological and physiological inertness, it is safe in contact with drinking water. Low thermal conductivity reduces heat loss, and damping of vibrations and flow noise ensures user comfort. The possibility of use in industrial installations results from its resistance to material corrosion.
- Wide application: installations for cold water (up to 20 bar), hot water (up to 10 bar) and central heating (up to 6 bar).
- Durable connections: polyfusion welding ensures tightness and mechanical strength.
- Easy installation: no need to scrape the protective layer before welding speeds up installation work.
- High hygiene: microbiological and physiological inertness makes the pipe safe for health.
- Reduced heat loss: low thermal conductivity reduces the operating costs of the heating system.
- Long warranty: the manufacturer offers a 10-year warranty (15 years for individual construction).
Standards and parameters
The pipe meets the requirements of PN‑EN 15874 and has CSTB, ITB, Lloyds and PZH certificates, which confirms its high quality and safety of use. The linear thermal expansion coefficient is 0.03 mm/mxK, and the thermal conductivity λ is 0.24 W/mxK. The minimum bending radius of the pipe is 8.0 D mm, and the internal wall roughness k is 0.007mm. The maximum operating temperature of the pipe is 60°C. The pipe is made of polypropylene (PP) and is white in color – these properties translate into its reliability and durability in various operating conditions.
