Steel sprinkler fitting – a reliable connection in fire protection systems

This steel press fitting with an external thread is designed to create durable and secure connections in sprinkler systems. Design and application

The fitting has a socket crimp connection on one side and a tapered BSPT-R (ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1) external gas thread with a diameter of 3/4 inch (20) on the other. This arrangement allows for flexible connection of various installation elements, e.g. steel pipes with devices equipped with a thread. The simple design facilitates assembly, and the solid construction ensures long-term reliability.

The fitting is characterized by the presence of an O-ring seal and a Leak Before Press (LBP) controlled leakage function, which increases the safety of the installation. LBP allows detection of an improperly made crimp connection even before the system is put into use – in the event of incomplete crimping, the seal will allow a small amount of water to pass through, signaling the need for correction. This is crucial for ensuring the full functionality of the fire protection system.
