This is a 90° Steel Sprinkler nipple elbow with a diameter of 76.1 mm, made of galvanized carbon steel, designed to create durable and safe connections in steel installations. It is an element of the KAN-THERM STEEL FITTINGS SPRINKLER system, designed for demanding applications such as fire protection systems and industrial installations.

Design and application

The elbow combines two connection methods – a compression socket and a push-in end, ensuring versatility and ease of installation. Its design allows for changing the direction of the pipeline by 90 degrees. The use of carbon steel guarantees high mechanical resistance and corrosion resistance thanks to the zinc coating (Fe/Zn88) with a thickness of 8-15 µm. Additionally, the presence of an O-ring seal ensures a tight connection.

LBP controlled leak function and benefits for the installer

A key feature of this elbow is the LBP (Leak Before Press) controlled leak function. This means that if the fitting is crimped incorrectly, a small leak will occur, which will immediately signal the error to the installer – before the system is started and a potential failure causes more serious problems. This significantly facilitates quality control and minimizes the risk of costly repairs in the future. Thanks to this, the installer can be sure that the connection is made correctly and the system will operate reliably.
