This Steel tee with a 1/2 inch female thread is a key element of the KAN-therm Steel system, designed to create durable and safe connections in heating and water installations. Made of carbon steel with a galvanized coating, it provides corrosion resistance and long-term reliability. Its construction, based on pressing technology, guarantees quick and easy installation without the need for welding or threading.

Construction and application

This tee connects three pipeline elements at a 90-degree angle. It has two clamping socket connections and a tapered BSPT-Rc (ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1) internal gas thread, allowing for flexible adaptation to various installation configurations. It is ideal for branches in heating, water and technological systems. Carbon steel RSt 34-2 (1.0034 according to DIN EN 10305-3) provides mechanical strength and resistance to high pressure. A zinc layer (8-15 µm) provides additional protection against corrosion, which is particularly important in difficult operating conditions.

LBP function and installation safety

KAN-therm Steel fittings, including this tee, are equipped with the LBP (Leak Before Press) function - signaling unpressed connections. This means that any leakage before pressing is immediately visible, allowing for quick identification and repair of the error. This is an important convenience that increases the safety of the entire installation and minimizes the risk of failure. Pressing technology eliminates the need for open flame during installation, which is particularly important when replacing old installations in multi-family buildings. The ability to work at pressures up to 25 bar (using specialized HP tools) and temperatures up to 200°C makes the KAN-therm Steel system versatile and can be used in various industrial and domestic applications.
