The KMC-25-40 contactor from Kanlux IDEAL TS is a device designed for automatic switching on and off of electrical energy receivers. It will be useful both in home installations and in commercial facilities where remote control of circuits is required. Thanks to its compact size and mounting on a TH35 rail, its installation is quick and easy.

Functionality and application

The device is characterized by its versatility – it is suitable for operation in categories AC-7a and AC-7b, which means it can be used to control various types of loads. The rated current of 25A (AC-7A/AC-1) allows for servicing devices with higher power, and the coil supply voltage of 230V AC ensures compatibility with most standard electrical installations. This contactor is ideal for applications requiring frequent switching on and off of receivers, such as lighting, electric heaters or pumps.

Construction and parameters

The KMC-25-40 contactor has 4 normally open contacts, which provides flexibility in circuit configuration. The housing made of high-quality materials ensures durability and resistance to mechanical damage. The IP20 degree of protection guarantees protection against accidental contact, but does not protect against the action of water. The device operates in a temperature range from -25°C to 40°C, which allows it to be used in various environmental conditions. Mounting is done using a connection terminal on a standard TH35 rail. Compact dimensions – only 2 modules wide – allow for efficient use of space in the switchgear cabinet.

The coil supply voltage is 230V AC 50/60Hz, and the rated current AC-7B/AC-1 is 8.5A. The maximum rated current AC-7A/AC-1 is 25A, allowing for servicing devices with a power of up to 15kW (AC-7A/400V) or 4kW (AC-7B/400V). The contactor has 4 normally open contacts and occupies 2 modules wide. The degree of protection is IP20, and the operating temperature range is -25 ÷ 40°C.
