Protection and application

The KMB6-C20/2 breaker is designed for mounting on a TH35 rail and features a two-pole design. Its rated current is 20A, and the short-circuit breaking capacity is as high as 6kA – this guarantees a quick response in the event of a failure. Energy limitation class 3 indicates its high effectiveness in suppressing short-circuit energy. Thanks to its C characteristic, the breaker reacts with a delay to short-term current surges, which is particularly important when connecting devices with induction motors (e.g., refrigerators, washing machines) that generate high starting current. Application in 230/400V AC installations makes it a universal solution for most typical electrical installations.

Construction and mounting

The breaker occupies 2 modules on the TH35 rail, allowing for efficient use of space in the distribution board. The possibility of connecting wires with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm² provides great flexibility during installation. The device meets the requirements of the PN-EN 60898-1 standard, which confirms its compliance with European safety standards. The degree of protection IP20 provides protection against accidental contact, but does not protect against the effects of water or dust – therefore, the breaker should be mounted in dry and closed rooms. The range of ambient temperatures in which the breaker can operate (5÷40°C) allows it to be used in typical operating conditions. The rated insulation voltage Ui is 500V.
