Overcurrent circuit breaker KANLUX IDEAL TS is a reliable element protecting electrical installations against the effects of overloads and short circuits. Designed for use with 400V AC networks, it provides effective protection for wires with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm². Its three-pole (3P) construction makes it ideal for protecting circuits requiring full phase protection.
Characteristics and application
A circuit breaker with characteristic C is a popular choice for installations where devices generating inrush currents during start-up are present – such as motors or transformers. Characteristic C allows it to react more slowly to short current surges, so it tolerates starting devices with a motor well. The rated current of 13A makes it suitable for protecting circuits with medium power consumption. Mounting is done on a standard TH35 rail, which facilitates installation and replacement.
Safety and compliance with standards
This circuit breaker has been designed and manufactured in accordance with PN-EN 60898-1, which guarantees its safety and reliability. Energy limitation class 3 means that it can withstand significant short-circuit currents – up to 6kA. The degree of protection IP20 provides protection against accidental contact, but does not protect against the effects of moisture or dust. The rated insulation voltage Ui is 500V.
Installation and parameters
The circuit breaker occupies 3 modules on the TH35 rail, which should be taken into account when planning the distribution board. It can operate at an ambient temperature from 5°C to 40°C, making it a universal solution for most indoor applications. The rated short-circuit current is as high as 6000A, which demonstrates high resistance to overloads.
