Protection of installations and people – residual current device KANLUX IDEAL TS
This two-pole residual current device with overcurrent protection is a key element ensuring safety in every electrical installation. It serves to protect against the effects of overloads, short circuits and electric shock, making it indispensable in both residential and commercial buildings. Its versatility will be appreciated by both installers and end users.
Functionality and parameters
The circuit breaker is characterized by a rated current of 20A and a rated differential current of 30mA, which provides effective protection against dangerous leakage currents. The rated short-circuit strength is as high as 6kA, which guarantees reliable operation even in the event of serious disturbances in the network. Characteristic C provides delayed tripping with short-term overloads, which is particularly important for devices with motors or other elements generating high starting current – this avoids unnecessary tripping of the circuit. Energy limitation class 3 confirms its ability to minimize the effects of short circuits.
Installation and application
The installation of the circuit breaker is extremely simple – it takes place on a standard TH35 rail. Compact dimensions (2 modules) allow for efficient use of space in the switchgear cabinet. Designed to operate at temperatures from -25°C to 40°C, it meets the PN-EN 61009-1 standard, which confirms its compliance with applicable safety standards. Wires with a cross-section from 10mm² to 16mm² can be connected without any problems. Type A residual current protection means that the circuit breaker reacts to leakage currents both direct (DC) and alternating (AC).
