Protection against flooding and sewage backflow

Storm gate KARMAT dn 110mm is a reliable protection against the effects of heavy rainfall, snowmelt or floods. It protects rooms located on the lowest floors from unwanted backflow of rainwater or sanitary sewage. This is particularly important when connected to a rainwater drainage system leading to rivers or reservoirs, where the risk of backwater is higher.

The gate is designed for installation in concrete wells type 0, but thanks to its universal design, it can also be used in existing plastic wells of various manufacturers - without the need for their modification. Supplied with an extension 140 cm long (consisting of two rods of 70 cm each), it allows installation in an excavation up to 180 cm deep. If a greater depth is required, additional extensions can be purchased (cat. no. PRZ70).

Construction and functionality

The key element of this gate is a removable check flap. This mechanism allows it to be easily removed to the surface using the included rod - without the need to enter the well. This facilitates maintenance and allows for quick removal of any contaminants blocking the valve. In the event of backflow, the flap pressed against the gate head effectively stops the water.

Additionally, the gate is equipped with a chrome-nickel flap cover, seals and levers, which effectively prevents rodent migration. The Karmat patented lip seal ensures a tight seal of the valve inserted into the pipe, regardless of its wall thickness - liquid encounters no obstacles during flow. This solution minimizes the risk of leaks and ensures long-term reliability.
