This courtyard drain from the System 200 series is a dedicated solution for point drainage on external surfaces such as courtyards, sidewalks, or maneuvering areas. Its construction is based on the Ecoguss composite material, which combines the lightness of plastic with strength comparable to cast iron. This makes the device resistant to corrosion, atmospheric factors, and chemical substances, which is crucial in harsh external conditions. This material also features high thermal resistance – it can withstand temperatures up to 400°C for short periods, protecting the installation in case of accidental dropping of glowing ash or other hot waste.

Practical installation and adjustment flexibility

For installers, the most important aspect is the ease of adapting the element to the surface layer. This model offers an adjustable height ranging from 40 to 150 mm, allowing precise leveling of the frame with the finished substrate level without the need for complex modifications. The widened sealing flange ensures a tight connection with the surroundings, while the lip seal additionally protects against groundwater infiltration. The vertically oriented (180°) outlet spigot features a push-fit end adapted for plastic pipes with a nominal diameter DN 100 (d110), simplifying integration with the rainwater drainage system.

It is worth noting that the product does not have a built-in siphon, which may be significant for specific design requirements or the need to install additional odor protection elsewhere in the circuit. Instead, the system is equipped with a sediment trap (sludge collector) that retains heavier solid particles, protecting the rest of the installation from blockages and facilitating periodic cleaning.

Safety and flow efficiency

A key aspect for end users is operational safety and drainage efficiency. The frame is made of Ecoguss plastic in a square shape with dimensions 258 x 258 mm, and its surface is covered with a circular slot grate. The entire unit meets the requirements of load class B125, meaning an allowable load capacity of up to 12.5 tons – sufficient for pedestrian traffic as well as light delivery vehicles or passenger cars. The Lock & Lift locking mechanism allows for quick and safe removal of the grate to empty the sediment trap or clean the channel without the use of specialized tools.

The hydraulic performance of the device is 4.5 l/s at a head of 20 mm, ensuring effective rainwater drainage even during heavy rainfall. An additional advantage is the high acoustic quality of the Ecoguss material – thanks to its sound-absorbing properties, the drain does not generate noise during water flow or from mechanical impacts (e.g., car wheels). The product is also designed for recycling, aligning with the principles of sustainable construction.
