The Simon 54 stair switch in anthracite is a professional component of the electrical installation system for controlling lighting on stairs and in various zones of a building. Model DW6.01/48 is designed for standard domestic installations, operating at a load of 10 AX and a voltage of 250V.

Construction and materials

The device is made of high-quality plastic, which is characterized by natural resistance to environmental conditions and color durability thanks to refining and anti-static additives. The matte surface finish in anthracite not only looks elegant but also makes it easy to keep clean—the surface does not attract fingerprints or dust.

The compact design with dimensions of 75×75×41 mm and a visual part depth of 28 mm allows for space savings in the installation box, leaving more room for wiring. Base lugs help maintain perfect vertical or horizontal alignment during the installation of multi-gang sets.

Mounting system and compatibility

The switch is designed for flush mounting using claws or screws, which guarantees stable and durable fastening. The new bridge allows for precise mechanism positioning thanks to spirit level supports, and the metal fastening presses the frame against the bridge, hiding any mounting imperfections.

The Simon 54 system offers full compatibility with multi-gang frames—both vertical and horizontal—as well as special frames for plasterboard that ensure the fittings sit perfectly flush against the wall. Direct mounting to wooden surfaces is also possible thanks to special holes that allow the bridge to be screwed in.

Operating parameters and safety

The mechanism is equipped with a rocker switch providing intuitive lighting control and quick connectors, which eliminate the need to bend wires and allow for the installation of even short cable segments.

The device meets the requirements of protection classes IP20/IP44, where adding a dedicated frame gasket (available separately) is sufficient to achieve IP44 splash resistance.
