Safe access in difficult conditions
The Krause shaft ladder is a solid and reliable solution for safe access to places requiring descent or ascent into wells, tanks, shafts and other hard-to-reach areas. Made of galvanized steel, it provides durability and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications.
The ladder is particularly useful in wastewater treatment plants, water treatment plants, landfills and retention tanks – anywhere where safe and convenient descent to manhole devices is required. Its design has been tested and approved in accordance with DIN EN 14396, and the entry/exit elements meet the requirements of DIN 19572.
Design and features
The ladder's construction is based on solid rectangular section stringers (50x20 mm) and non-slip perforated rungs. This combination ensures stability and safety of use even in difficult conditions. The clear width of the ladder is 300 mm, and the external width is 340 mm.
Thanks to the use of hot-dip galvanized steel, the ladder is resistant to weathering and corrosion. This translates into a long service life and minimal maintenance costs. Shaft ladders made of plastic and fiberglass are also available – an alternative for installations requiring electrical insulation or resistance to aggressive chemicals.
User parameters
The 2.52 m long shaft ladder is equipped with 9 rungs. The product weight is approximately 12 kg. This configuration makes the ladder easy to transport and install, while providing adequate access height to most standard manhole devices.
