Cast iron drainage inlet – solid protection for infrastructure

This D400 class drainage inlet is a reliable element of the sewage infrastructure, designed for draining rainwater and wastewater in areas exposed to heavy vehicle traffic. Made of durable gray cast iron, it ensures long-lasting and trouble-free operation even in difficult conditions. The design is adapted for installation in roadways, pedestrian and vehicle areas, parking lots, and hardened shoulders.

Design and application

The inlet has a collar with a diameter of 3/4 inch, which facilitates its integration with the existing sewage network. The grate, mounted on six support points, is characterized by high stability and resistance to keying – i.e., deformation under load. Additionally, the inlet is equipped with a lockable, hinged grate, which facilitates access to the interior for cleaning and maintenance. The raw finish (unpainted) means that the inlet is ready for immediate installation or further processing – e.g., painting with environmentally friendly paint to protect against corrosion or to match the surroundings.

Strength and compliance with standards

Load class D400 according to PN-EN 124-2 standard guarantees resistance to loads up to 400 kN. This means that the inlet can be safely used in areas with high traffic of heavy and passenger vehicles. The rectangular shape of the grate ensures efficient water flow and minimizes the risk of debris accumulation. Cast iron as a construction material provides resistance to corrosion and mechanical damage, which translates into a long product life.
