Robust silicone cable for extreme conditions

The OLFLEX HEAT 180 SiHF cable is a high-temperature control cable designed for operation in harsh industrial environments. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high temperatures – up to 180°C – and flexibility, which facilitates installation even in tight spaces. Its construction ensures reliable operation in demanding applications such as furnaces, foundries, or heating devices.

Construction and properties

The cable is constructed of seven copper conductors with a cross-section of 2.5 mm², which are tinned to increase corrosion resistance. The conductors are surrounded by silicone insulation, providing flexibility and thermal resistance. The whole is covered with a silicone rubber (SIR) jacket in a red-brown color, which further protects the cable from mechanical damage and external factors. Thanks to a special production technology, when burned, the cable leaves behind insulating SiO2 ash residue on the conductors, which increases safety.

The use of high-quality materials and precise construction guarantee long-lasting and trouble-free operation of the cable. The minimum bending radius in moving installations is 189 mm, and in stationary installations 50.4 mm – allowing it to be adapted to various installation configurations. The cable is designed for rated voltages of 300/500V and has a conductor class of 5 (multi-strand flexible), which ensures its flexibility and ease of assembly. Additionally, the cable retains its properties over a wide range of ambient temperatures, from -50°C to +180°C.
