This shielded UNITRONIC LiYCY 8x0.14 control cable is a reliable solution for transmitting data and control signals in various industrial and automation applications. Construction and properties
The UNITRONIC LiYCY cable stands out with its careful construction. Copper cores of class 6 (flexible stranded) are insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which provides good flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. The whole is surrounded by a braid screen, which minimizes electromagnetic interference and ensures stable data transmission. The outer PVC coating further protects the cable from external factors. This makes the cable ideal for use in environments exposed to interference.
The use of a braid as a common screen effectively reduces noise and interference, which is crucial in precise control and measurement systems. In addition, the cable is characterized by an allowable operating temperature from -40°C to 80°C, which allows its use in a wide range of ambient temperatures. The minimum bending radius for fixed installations is 34.8 mm, and for moving installations without guidance – 87 mm, which facilitates installation and cable routing even in tight spaces. The color of the core insulation is indicated by colors, making it easier to identify individual wires during installation.
