The H05V-K (LGY) installation cable is a single-core cable, ideal for electrical installations in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Construction and properties

This cable with a cross-section of 0.5 mm² is distinguished by a flexible stranded construction (class 5), which makes it easier to route in tight spaces and provides resistance to material fatigue during bending. The color of the insulation – a combination of dark blue and white – facilitates identification of the core in the installation. Thanks to the rated voltage of 500 V / 300 V, it is suitable for a wide range of applications. Its round cross-section and outer diameter of 2.5 mm provide convenience during work. The cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -30°C to +80°C, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications (taking into account weather conditions). The minimum bending radius in fixed installations is 10 mm, which minimizes the risk of damage to the core during installation.

Safety and compliance with standards

The H05V-K cable meets the requirements of EN 13501-6 standard in terms of fire reaction classification – Eca. This means that in the event of a fire, the cable emits a limited amount of smoke and does not produce burning droplets or particles. The lack of shielding eliminates potential electromagnetic interference in some applications. The use of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as the insulation and outer coating material provides good protection against mechanical and chemical factors.
