Universal control cable for demanding applications

The ÖLFLEX® CLASSIC 115 CY 4G4 BK cable is a flexible solution for wiring control circuits, both inside machines and between plants. It is suitable for use in dry and humid environments, as well as outdoors – its PVC jacket is resistant to acids, alkalis and UV radiation. The construction with a copper braid screen provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference.

Construction and application

This cable is characterized by a conductor cross-section of 4 mm² and a rated voltage of 300/500 V. Made of copper, it has a black PVC insulation and a screen of tinned copper wires. It is designed for medium mechanical loads and fixed or occasionally moving connections without tensile loads. It can also be used in wind turbines, thanks to its construction adapted for twisting. Reduced wall thickness saves space, and removal of the inner jacket further reduces the weight and outer diameter of the cable (11.6 mm).

Safety and compliance with standards

The ÖLFLEX® CLASSIC 115 CY cable meets the requirements for fire classification properties according to EU Directive 305/2011 (BauPVO/CPR). It has a fire reaction class of Eca, which means limited flammability and low smoke emission. This is important for ensuring the safety of installations in buildings and industrial facilities. In addition, the cable is resistant to most chemicals and twisting, which increases its durability and reliability in harsh working conditions.
