Application and Functionality

This three-pole contactor (3P) with a rated current of 150A is ideal for controlling motors, heaters, and other inductive loads. It has three main normally closed contacts and two normally open and two normally closed auxiliary contacts (2NO2NC), allowing for the implementation of complex control and signaling functions. This allows it to be used not only to switch circuits on and off, but also to create self-starting and stopping systems, as well as circuit status signaling.

Performance and Operating Parameters

The CTX3 contactor is characterized by high performance in various operating conditions. The rated power for AC-3 at 400V is 75 kW, and for AC-4 – 55 kW. The rated current for AC-3 at 400V is 150A, and for AC-1 – 210A. This makes it a component suitable for even demanding applications. Characteristic C allows it to react more slowly to short current surges, so it tolerates starting devices with a motor well. It provides protection for the circuit against overload and short circuit - like most circuit breakers in this class. The connection of the main contacts is made using cable lugs, which facilitates assembly and ensures a secure electrical connection.
