Surge arrester T1+T2 12.5/60 4P 412273
Surge protection for your installation
The T1+T2 4P surge arrester is a key element in protecting the electrical installation from the effects of lightning strikes and other overvoltages. This device, compliant with IEC/EN 61643-11, combines the features of Type 1 and Type 2 arresters, providing comprehensive protection against both direct and indirect lightning strikes. Installation in the main distribution board guarantees safety for the entire installation and connected devices.
Key features and application
This four-pole arrester (4P) is designed to operate in 230/400V networks with a frequency of 50/60Hz. Its construction based on varistor technology ensures a quick and effective response to sudden voltage increases. This arrester is used in TT, TN-C, TN-S and TN-C-S installations, making it a universal solution for most residential and commercial buildings. The impulse current (Iimp) of 12.5 kA/pole (impulse 10/350 µs) and the maximum discharge current (Imax) of 60 kA/pole (impulse 8/20 µs) demonstrate the high effectiveness of the device in extreme conditions.
Safety and reliability in practice
The arrester is characterized by a protection level (Up) of 1.5 kV and a maximum continuous operating voltage AC of 320 V. Installation is carried out on a standard DIN TH-35 mm mounting rail, which facilitates installation and replacement. The width of the device – 4 modules – allows it to be easily placed even in crowded distribution boards. Additionally, the presence of optical indication of operation allows for quick identification of the need for cartridge replacement. The use of a recommended overcurrent protection S 300 TX³/DX³ C 63A provides additional protection against overloads. The maximum wire cross-section of 35 mm² (solid/stranded) and 25 mm² (flexible) allows connection of wires of different thicknesses.
