Residual current circuit breaker P 312 2P C 40 A 30 mA Type A, DX3 series 411065
Protection and Safety in Your Installation
This two-pole residual current circuit breaker P 312 from the DX3 series is a key component ensuring comprehensive protection in electrical circuits. It combines the functions of an overcurrent and residual current device, safeguarding against the effects of overloads, short circuits, and electric shocks.
Functionality and Application
The P 312 breaker, rated at 40A and with a sensitivity of 30mA (Type A), performs excellently in protecting lighting, socket, and other electrical circuits. The C characteristic ensures delayed tripping during brief overloads, which is especially important when operating devices with motors or other components generating high inrush currents. This ensures stable system operation without unnecessary trippings.
Design and Installation
The breaker is designed for mounting on a TH35 rail, occupying a width of two modules (36mm). Its mounting depth is 44mm. The robust construction and a lockout mechanism preventing accidental re-energizing after tripping guarantee long-term, safe operation. Additionally, the presence of a test button allows for regular verification of the residual current device’s functionality. The terminals accept single-core conductors from 0.75 to 16 mm² and multi-core conductors from 0.75 to 10 mm². The rated short-circuit breaking capacity (Icn) is 6 kA, ensuring effective protection in the event of a short circuit. The IP20 protection rating guards against finger contact and solid objects larger than 12.5 mm.
