The brushless DC motor (BLDC) is the heart of this trimmer, delivering real-world performance in the field. Thanks to the absence of carbon brushes, the device not only operates longer on a single charge but also generates higher torque with lower energy consumption. This is crucial when tackling dense grass or weeds, where conventional motors often lose power. The XPT (Xtreme Protection Technology) system further protects the interior from dust and moisture, which is invaluable when working in wet grass or trimming along garden bed edges.

Intelligent Speed Control and Safety

A key advantage of this model is its 3-stage electronic speed regulation, allowing operation to be tailored to specific tasks. Low speed (3500 rpm) is ideal for delicate trimming around trees, medium speed (5100 rpm) suits standard lawn mowing, and high speed (6000 rpm) effectively handles tougher weeds. Furthermore, ADT (Automatic Torque Drive) technology automatically adjusts speed and torque based on resistance encountered by the cutting head—if the line gets stuck in dense material, the motor instantly increases power, preventing the device from jamming.

For safety and ease of maintenance, a reverse rotation function is included. By pressing the appropriate button, the head rotates slowly to the left, enabling quick self-cleaning of wrapped grass without the need for manual cleaning. An electric brake immediately stops the head upon releasing the trigger, while soft-start eliminates sudden jerks at startup.

Ergonomics and Versatile Application

This trimmer is designed for extended use without excessive operator fatigue. Weighing only 2.9–3.2 kg (with battery), it is one of the lightest in the 18 V class. The single loop handle ensures a natural hand position and full control over the cutting angle. An optional shoulder strap transfers the device's weight to the shoulders, reducing strain on the wrists during work on larger areas.

The 30 cm wide cutting head features a "bump and feed" system—simply tap the head gently against the ground to advance a new portion of 2.0 mm diameter nylon line. Thanks to the M10 x 1.25 LH spindle thread and spindle lock, tool changes are quick and require no additional tools (except the included hex key). The device is also compatible with polyamide blades and 3-tooth cutting blades (sold separately), significantly expanding its applications beyond simple grass trimming.

The device operates on the 18 V LXT Li-ion system, achieving speeds from 3500 to 6000 rpm depending on the selected mode. Overall dimensions are approximately 1836 x 348 x 236 mm, and the noise level during operation ranges between 74–77 dB(A). Please note battery compatibility: this model is not compatible with the lowest-cost versions lacking electronics (BL1811G/BL1813G/BL1815G) nor with the BL1815 battery (18 V / 1.3 Ah).
