Power and Precision in a Compact Housing
The professional 18 V LXT series impact wrench is designed for heavy-duty assembly and disassembly tasks where both power and control are critical. Thanks to its brushless BLDC motor, the tool achieves a maximum torque of 700 Nm, enabling effective tightening of bolts up to M24, and up to M16 for high-strength bolts. If greater breakout torque is required, such as when loosening rusted components, the wrench delivers an impressive 1000 Nm of breakout torque. This performance allows the tool to handle the most demanding tasks in workshops, on construction sites, or in automotive service, eliminating the need for additional extensions or pneumatic power units.
Intelligent Control and Ergonomic Operation
The wrench features a four-stage electronic speed and impact frequency adjustment, providing users with full flexibility to select parameters tailored to specific tasks. At the first gear, the speed is 500 rpm (1000 impacts/min), ideal for delicate work or assembly in hard-to-reach areas, while the fourth gear reaches 2200 rpm with 2700 impacts per minute, delivering maximum power. Notably, the full-speed function activated by a button shortens the trigger stroke, allowing quicker attainment of full power without excessive hand fatigue during long tightening sequences. Additionally, the ability to set one of three automatic stop modes (Auto Stop) for both clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation prevents thread damage or tool damage caused by excessive torque.
The compact design, with an overall length of only 170 mm, facilitates work in tight spaces, while the ergonomic handle covered with elastomer ensures a secure grip even under high torque. The 1/2" square drive is equipped with a pin lock mechanism that effectively prevents sockets from falling out during intense impacts. Work area illumination is provided by a dual LED light with a delayed shut-off function, which is invaluable when working in poorly lit areas—the light remains on briefly after releasing the trigger. The tool also features XPT (Xtreme Protection Technology), enhancing resistance to dust and moisture, thereby increasing its durability in harsh environmental conditions.
Complete Starter Kit and Compatibility
The standard package includes everything needed for immediate operation: the wrench itself, two 5.0 Ah Li-ion batteries (model BL1850B), and the DC18RC charger. This means users do not need to purchase additional components—once removed from the MAKPAC type 3 system case, the tool is ready for use. These batteries are compatible with all tools in the Makita 18 V LXT system (except for older models without electronics such as BL1811G or BL1813G, and the very small 1.3 Ah battery). The tool weighs 2.3 kg (without battery) and approximately 2.7 kg with fully charged EPTA batteries, making it one of the lighter models in its class with such high power.
The tool supports a wide range of batteries with capacities from 1.5 Ah to 6.0 Ah, allowing users to adjust runtime according to their needs—from light repairs to all-day assembly tasks. Thanks to modern electronics and robust mechanical construction, this wrench represents a reliable solution for installers requiring precision and mechanics valuing high performance while maintaining compact dimensions.
