Problem starting drilling in hard materials?
Starting drilling in concrete, brick, or ceramic tiles is a common issue — diamond drill bit segments deflect, causing asymmetrical holes, surface cracks, and uncontrolled vibrations. This is especially frustrating when working in finished spaces, where even minor damage is unacceptable.
How to solve it?
The RS/RM-TX 62/72 centering guide acts as a pilot guide for diamond drill bits. No change in technique is required — just an additional initial step:
- First, drill a small pilot hole (14 mm) using a tungsten carbide drill bit.
- Place the centering guide over the diamond bit segments, and insert the guiding pin into the pilot hole.
- Drill without impact to a depth of 4–8 mm — this is sufficient for the centering guide to establish a stable base.
- Now continue normal drilling — no deflection, no vibrations, no damage.
The hole edge remains smooth and perpendicular, even when drilling through ceramic tiles. No spalling, no “blisters” beneath the surface.
Who benefits?
For the installer — save time correcting mistakes and avoid complaints. For the client — no damaged walls or floors. For quality — consistent results regardless of material or skill level.
The centering guide is designed exclusively for use with RS/RM-TX diamond drill bits of 62–72 mm diameter. It is not compatible with other drill types or diameters. Do not use with impact mode — only non-impact mode during the pilot phase.
