Diamond core drill bit 68mm M14 max 12000 rpm MN-76-268

Advanced diamond core drill for ceramics and stone

The 68mm diameter diamond core drill with M14 thread enables effective and precise drilling of holes in ceramics, stoneware, terracotta, marble, and granite - materials known for their extreme hardness and susceptibility to cracking during processing.

The tool's construction was developed for professional use with a maximum rotational speed of 12 000 rpm. The M14 thread ensures compatibility with standard angle grinders available on the market.

Vacuum Brazed technology and construction

At the heart of the core drill is advanced Vacuum Brazed technology, which guarantees a durable bond between the diamond segments and the steel tool body. The vacuum brazing process creates a uniform structure with exceptional resistance to abrasion and high temperatures.

The working part is made of high-quality carbon steel, providing an optimal balance between hardness and tool flexibility. The specially developed drill core features a very fine and dense diamond grit - a key element affecting cutting efficiency and tool lifespan.

The cooling system, based on a special wax that melts during operation, eliminates the need for external cooling fluids.

Application in the hardest materials

The core drill performs excellently when processing glazed ceramics with various surface structures - both smooth and textured. In the case of porcelain stoneware, the tool maintains stable performance without the risk of "skipping" or vibration during hole initiation.

Terracotta requires a special approach due to its porosity and irregular internal structure - here, controlled pressure and maintaining a constant rotational speed throughout the cutting operation are of key importance.

Natural marble is characterized by variable hardness and the presence of veins of varying density - the core drill handles these challenges thanks to the even distribution of cutting forces.

Polished granite poses the greatest challenge due to its extreme hardness and tendency to chip if the tool is guided incorrectly - here, Vacuum Brazed technology ensures predictable behavior of the cutting segment.

Installation and operating parameters

Installing the core drill only requires mounting it in a standard angle grinder equipped with an M14 thread spindle - no additional mounting accessories or specialized adapters are needed.

Before starting work, the hole location point should be accurately marked and the stability of the workpiece mounting should be checked - this is particularly important with thin ceramic tiles where vibrations can lead to material cracks.

The cutting process should be initiated with short applications, allowing the cooling system to gradually heat up to the wax melting temperature - only after reaching a stable operating temperature can you proceed to continuous feed movement.

Controlling rotational parameters is the key to success - the maximum allowable speed is 12 000 rpm. Pressure should be adjusted individually to the type of material and its thickness - excessive pressure can lead to overheating of the working segment and shortened tool life, while insufficient pressure will cause unnecessary extension of the operation time and the risk of "skipping" at the point of cutting initiation.
