Cable tray – a solid solution for electrical installations

This SKS 60/100/1.5 cable tray, 3 meters long, manufactured by Obo Bettermann, is part of a heavy-duty cable tray system, designed for safe and organized routing of electrical cables. The 60 mm side height and 100 mm width provide sufficient space for many cables. Made of 1.5 mm thick steel and protected with hot-dip galvanizing, it guarantees durability and corrosion resistance even in harsh environmental conditions.

The tray is perforated – both longitudinally, transversely and from the side – which facilitates the mounting of accessories and ensures optimal ventilation of the cables. This allows the heat generated by the cables to be effectively dissipated, which affects their lifespan and the safety of the installation. Connectors are included in the set, simplifying and accelerating the installation process.

Construction and user parameters

The SKS tray is characterized by a high load capacity, confirmed by tests in accordance with IEC 61537 standard (Type II). The possibility of support spacing from 1.5 to 3 meters allows for flexible adaptation to the specifics of the installation. The safe working load changes depending on the support spacing: at 1.5 m spacing it is 2650 N/m, at 2.0 m it drops to 1800 N/m, at 2.5 m to 1150 N/m, and at 3.0 m to 500 N/m.

The useful cross-section of the tray is as much as 5800 mm², which allows for routing a large number of cables. Additional perforation in the bottom part facilitates the mounting of fixing accessories. The E30 system for maintaining operational efficiency provides protection of the installation in the event of a fire.

Good to know: The SKS tray is compatible with the VdS 2092 (30% perforation) permeable cable tray system, allowing it to be used under sprinkler systems. The model is equipped with connectors included, eliminating the need to purchase them separately.
